That's easy though; trust me, I've done the paperwork for 2 clubs now over
the years. And many times, you can get a waiver from doing a match. For
instance we never did a Rally match first for DV; didn't have to b-cause
we'd done OB at our shows forever. We would have been approved for a herding
trial if we had done a test in conjunction w/ another club first; we
didn't have to do the full blown match. We opted not to go the herding route
b-cause once I did the projections, it was a really money loser. We DID do a
little agility match prior to holding trials. But my point is, as long as
your club is experienced w/ putting "stuff" on the AKC is pretty flexible
re the match requirement.
