Does the Parent web site have a map where you can visibly check out the 9
regions as they are presently used? I assume it's the same one we use for
our Futurities!!??
I am not sure if I am for or against Regional representation. It has its
good and bad points. This list has a lot of good thinkers and ideas. Perhaps
we can come up with something that would be doable and together we could
present an outline (or rough draft) to the Board which should include the
reduction of Board members. How about it?

In a perfect world getting someone to run and get elected in each and every
region is attainable, but therein lies the problem. Yes we need input from
each
and every region, and maybe people from different regions may not know the
issues plaguing one region versus another, however, that's were
COMMUNICATION
comes into play. My suggestion was that each Director is designated a
region
and provided with listings of their clubs with contacts. This way they have
a
direct pipeline to those clubs/contacts and communicate them regularly.
It's a
method of opening up the lines of communication. Unless issues are brought
to
light, (not just on this list but directly to a Board member) how can any
solutions be provided? I'm not suggesting we are running a government here,
I
was just brainstorming on how to get the lines of communication open
directly to
the board from those clubs that have issues which are not being addressed.
We've
got approximately three thousand members, if we all could generate ideas to
benefit our club and breed how extraordinary would that be?
