Dear Gloria,
having chaired this committee some years ago for our club, I found it to be
exceptionally difficult.
Trying to get each member who titled dogs to submit all the "hardcopy" info is
like pulling teeth. Is there not some way the Chairperson of the Regional Club
Challenge can verify these results? I am thinking there is a section in the
Review that lists the new title holders for AKC events each month?
Also aren't the National results posted somewhere as well, for Selects, Grand
Victor/Victress, Obedience, Rally,
Herding, Agility, ETC?
And I know for sure the ROMs are listed each year. The Sch.H. results should be
published somewhere also.(WDA?)
I guess what I am asking is why do the Clubs have to furnish hard copies of
titles that are public record?
Our president asked for someone in our Club to Chair this committee, Even
though I do our annual awards,
I had to decline, as I found it very hard to do, and stressful in the past. Has
anyone else chaired this for their clubs who did not find it difficult to do?
