I don't see anything in her post that states she knew. What I see is that she
checked with AKC and was told it was not in use. AKC would not know since it
was not a registerd kennel name. If she did not want anyone else to use that
name she should have registered it when she starting using it.

This is an interesting reply to the lady from BlackOaks. Just out of
curiosity, if you knew that the name was already being used in any form, why
would you
have wanted to use it? It IS customary not to use a kennel name someone else
already has as it does lead to confusion

When I originally decided on the name I called AKC to make sure it wasn't
registered, they certainly didn't have a problem with it or mention any other
breeders to me. Whatever....
