I will always help any person who feels they need it. That does not mean I
expect them to agree with me, or to even stop jumping on me when they feel I
am doing something wrong. Those who might be less than gentle on me now, are
still my friends and it does not mean I am not there if they need help in the
future.
I think we too often allow a disagreement become personal. It shouldn't. I
have argued with many people who I still respect, and even when I can't
convince them of something, that does not mean I change my opinion of them, it
just
means they are wrong.
I guess it is a lawyer thing. We always fight like crazy in the court, but
outside we work together to find a way to resolve stuff. In the trial one of
us wins and one of us loses, and it has nothing to do with us as people. I
think that is why a loss in the ring does not devastate me, but just makes me
want to work harder the next time.
The Hunte matter was a difficult situation, but our board found a solution,
or at least I think they did. I have again been asked for some help on some
new stuff, but nothing has broken out into a fight yet, and I hope it won't.
But, I have never judged my friends on if they agree with me. Ask Paul or
Twyla, who disagree with me all the time. They have a point of view, and I
know
the right thing.
