Today a hero passed away... he wasn't a breed Champion, he wasn't even a
great Obedience winner (he just never saw the need to walk around a ring
twice)... but he was his owner's hero.
Black Hart of Kender, CGC, TC, OFA (H/E and Cardiac) epitomized the GSD. He
was a perfect family dog. When a younger dog he was instrumental in chasing
away some burglars. He took a beating during that episode... but it didn't
change his wonderful temperament.
But mostly, outside of his family, Hart will be remembered by the folks of
Arizona as the big black GSD that walked in every Veterans Day Parade since
2000. He, and his owner, Ali Wright, were there from the beginning of the
GCGSDC's involvement with the Parade.
RIP Hart, you will indeed be missed.
