They say it's the squeaky wheel that get the grease. Well, some dogs are in
danger of being overlooked (although I can assure you Cokie never was!)
because they just never do anything wrong and always do what's expected of
them, no fuss, no muss... no squeaks. That was Cokie: she was a beautiful puppy
from Coda's very first litter, winning BP in Match her first time in the
ring at 4 months, then going on to an easy championship, her TC and CGC, 4
beautiful litters, her ROM and finally, a long, well-deserved retirement as my
house dog and constant companion - one who never needed more discipline than
a word or glance, seemed to have been born house-trained (!), and became a
consummate mind-reader in her later years, knowing what was wanted of her
before being asked, asking for herself only the chance to bask in my presence.
Good-bye my sweet, good girl.
