The whole point is.... we need to get the CDC to change their Compendium and
until someone can prove to them what the actual titer level needs to be to
protect the bite victim it isn't going to change. Now, how do you do that??
You can't 'challenge' a human 'test subject'. So, how do you do it????? Is a
study under way??? If you want to change things you've got to ask those
questions.
And, the CDC's argument isn't dumb when people are dying from rabies all over
the world. It isn't a big thing here but in third world countries thousands of
people die every year from rabid animal bites. Titers aren't available to
everyine just based on cost AND availability of testing. The reference to
titer testing has been in place for several years. MAYBE when they included it
titer testing wasn't as accurate as it is now?????
