Rabies is a real problem here in TX. There are a bunch of
reported/confirmed cases with wildlife in the state. Never heard of a case
while living in
NC, or GA. I guess we all have to keep up with the latest reports on our
states. It varies greatly from state to state.
The risk of having to go thru rabies treatment is not worth not taking the
time, or the expense, to do rabies vaccinations. The treatment is pretty
brutal.
