This is an interesting post. Think as a judge and ask yourself which one of
these mentioned dogs is closer to the standard? Where is the point in
evaluating a dog that you ignore a serious fault? Example: A beautiful dog
standing with a very masculine head, good coat, good pigment, good back,
etc, but is awful going away. Doesn`t this one glaring fault eliminate him
from winning the points or BOB? He is functionally unable to do what he was
intended to do. He would breakdown herding sheep, be unable to jump a wall,
etc. So, in my opinion, it is difficult to brand someone a fault judge if
you haven`t "walked in his/her shoes." D.D.
