Hanging ears were DQ'd not because they indicated health problems or signs of
weakness but because the founders of the breed and writers of the Standard did
not like them and preferred erect ears. The fancy endorsed it. Some things in
life are arbitrary and not based on fairness. For many of us the same goes for
