Jackie when you finish your first dog you will be tied with me! And I've been
lurking around the show ring since 96. And I've been quitting for the past 10
years but one thing or another keeps me thinking if I could just get one more
championship. And I really do enjoy the dogs I have now but I'd like to do it
one last time. Lol what a dumb ass lol I just can't take "no" for an answer. My
initial goal was to have more AKC champions than ex- wives. Looks like that
will not happen. Lol ..... Well at least I have the Oakland Raiders. Lol. FB

I'm youngish...28. I was told I'd never last, and I'm still around.
Hoping to be celebrating my first champion this weekend....entirely owner
handled.
Was told owner handling was a waste of time and that I wasn't serious about
showing because I didn't want to hire a pro. Was told lots of things that
weren't very kind. Some people were supportive, but I never did get a
mentor, which probably worked out for the best for me.
Spent thousands on animals that we're not what they were represented to me
as. Wanted to quit many times and still came back for more. Perhaps
stupidly. But passion can make one a bit foolish (in a good way).
I'll be breeding my first litter very soon, and it has been a long time
coming. Puppies already have homes lined up and I'm still getting
inquiries.
But, most people will not endure what I have, and will quit rather than
continue to lose money or be made a fool of.
Perhaps they're just smarter than I am :)
