Using our Public Education Chair to connect with national organizations would
be a valuable tool. Then disseminating that information to the regional
clubs' PECs would be an effective use of the Education Chair. If there is a
committee in place to educate and inform, then that's what the committee
does...no?

I also see no need for the RALEEF committee. As I wrote in my initial
letter to the board:

Quote:
Because I believe that a positive alternative should be always proposed, I
offer the following:

A workable Legislation alternative would be Legislative Liaisons (perhaps 3
across the country) that would have specified members of Regional Club contacts
to keep them informed of rising concerns in their area for communication and
dissemination of information. Those Liaisons could then contact the PC of
immediate needs for action. The Regional Clubs' PEC should have the
responsibility of community education, with guidance, not a PC Legislation
Committee. An
added specific task for the Liaisons would be to correspond with national and
larger state groups to see where GSDCA might be of help.

It was later brought to my attention that GSDCA has various liaisons already.
(Vet liaison, for an instance). No Board member to be the Chair...no
outlay of expenses, except as the Board voted for contributing to certain needs
that would be brought to their attention. (Donations to help fight some of
the
horrific legislations that are rising) The website would/could be a
valuable tool if maintained and up to date.
