[ SHOWGSD-L ] Questions about "toofers"

I am still trying to learn more about heredity, SO can anyone tell me
what determines tooth absence in GSDs? Do both parents have to be
carriers to produce it (or can ONE parent produce it?) Does a dog/
bitch automatically produce it if he/she HAS missing teeth? I know
that dogs have finished who have had missing teeth ( or a missing
tooth) and how do you feel about breeding those animals?
