WD and WB. Do they automatically go Select just as a "tradition"?

Many times they have but I doubt that it was just a "tradition"...may be in
some instances...but more often than not...they are exceptional
animals...This year in Canada the WB went Select, I believe the WD did not
and at our National...neither did.
