I was sorting through our leashes and found some really stiff leashes that might have gotten wet at one time. My question is there anything that can be done to clean and soften them so they are usable? Thankfully, I'm headed to Nationals and will be able to replace them if they are toast <G>.. Absolutely! Clean them, (Lexol), oil them heavily (Neetsfoot oil) and put them in the sun. After a few hours, wipe off the excess oil. They'll be darker, smooth and flexible.
