Well in the case of Pat Hiscock......the problem certainly wasn't the Implant
nor
was it the progesterone test!! Normally one of the good things about the
implant
is that the Vet can LOOK at the uterus and see if something is wrong or
not....and
advise you whether to bother doing the implant, natural breeding, AI,
transcervical
implant or spay!! In the case of cysts, very often the implant will solve the
problem
by getting the bitch pregnant. In the case of "something wrong with her
uterus"...give
it up. Vet should have let you know that early on.
In Anita's case.....a 'vaginal swab' certainly isn't going to help if the bitch
has
Myco Plasma.
This has been discussed over and over.....if you are having problems with your
bitch
conceiving and her uterus is fine...and her progesterone levels are
normal........WHY
aren't these Vets testing for myco plasma?? It's the single BIGGEST reason
for
bitches
not conceiving....or aborting or reabsorbing the litters!!! Run a MP test!
OR go
ahead with the Implant and have him look for cysts.....or... do an ultra sound
to see
if she does have cysts from a 'build up' of progesterone......
( also......occasionally the Labs DO screw up on the progesterone ) But if
more
than one was run....your Vet would know that.
