Puppy came in season around July 11 (she was about 10 1/2 months old) - pretty normal cycle - boys nuts over her about the beginning of the 3rd week - at the end of the 3rd week or so they could care less - about 2 weeks later they are all extremely interested in her again - lots of licking and attempts to mount, which she is having none of - when she was checked out there was a small amount of clear to milky/light cream colored discharge, totally odorless (at least to me - apparently not the case to my boys!) - took to vet a few days later, he said if she's eating, drinking and acting normal not to worry - she has NO TEMP and is normal in every othr way - runs and plays in the yard, no excessive thirst or urination, nothing else out of the ordinary - vet did not see a need to do any type of culture as there was nothing else abnormal going on and he felt it wouldn't show anything - said to keep an eye on it but not to worry - well anyone that knows me, knows I WORRY. Had her at a friend's house and HER boys were also drooling all over her and trying to mount her so it's not just my boys that are going bonkers. Is there anything I need to do here other than keep an eye on her? Any explanation for what is happening? I thought about pyometra but I have no temp, no odor, and this is her first cycle - it would be unusual, I think, at least from what I've read and people I've talked to. What about puppy vaginitis? Any input appreciated here! THANKS!! ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2007.
