It could be a dozen other things rather than hips, and I'm not suggesting
you have to "put a name on it".
Going back to when I had horses, I've loved HA products. In those days it
was injections directly into the area that needed lubrication, (and you had to
repeat because the body is awfully efficient at getting rid of foreign
substances!), but in more recent years there have been a number of oral
products
where the actual molecules, thanks to nano-technology, are small enough to be
useful. (Do your comparisons!) The problem is, it can take 3-6 weeks when
using oral HA supplements to see a difference.
I have two seniors (10 & 11 respectively) on a daily single tablet of
Cosequin DS from KV Vet and two 8 year olds that don't get anything. They all
look
like they are 5 year olds. The plan, when the seniors stop looking like 5
year olds is to then move on to a HA supplement, and if/when that doesn't work
well, go to a RX for pain. (One of the seniors BTW OFA'd good, one fair).
