Our experinces, leads us to the simple recessive conclusion as well.
I also believe that there is an addtional severity component that we don't
undestand as of yet.
The handfulll of the meg's we have produced have all survived to long and
fairly normal lives to ripe old ages thus far, and I would consider them mild
cases based on what I've heard from our vet and other breeders. Essentially the
puppys enlarged esoph. is grown into over time. Now, the Ariartic Arch? version
is deadly from my understanding as that is linked to a heart ailment which
requires surgery to survive, this is what you are really trying to diagnos with
the barium, is it not?
