The following comment was posted on The GSD Facebook Forum regarding our
Standard and the size of The GSD.
Does anyone recollect this conversation on the list and did judges really
state they would put up the bigger dog?
I would use Snopes to verify, but they don't follow da list!
Years ago this topic was discussed in the Showgsd-l, and the general
consensus I recall was, if two dogs were identical in every way and both
deserving to win, but one was 2 inches outside the standard and the other
was inside the standard, the judges on the list responded that as personal
preference they'd put up the bigger dog. So this has been going on for
several years...
