I was going to say the exact same thing that Kathy said...lol...and I also feed
Kirkland Chicken Rice And Vegetable from Costco.....$27.00 for 40 # and the
dogs love it and look great on it!!!

Thanks so much! Those sound like great suggestions.
Past few days I've been feeding only once a day . . . because I've learned
(lol) that he is not housebroken yet and I am trying to get him on a
crating/feeding schedule and anticipate when he will need to go outside
(and positively reinforce). Will aim for 2-3 x day. I've been adding some
salmon oil and sunflower oil. His coat needs some help too.
I'm so used to a lifetime of showline purchased puppies and training early
. . . that it AMAZES me that someone has had this sweet dog all this time
with NO training (and I mean this dog did not recognize a single command or
word) or even housebreaking. I think this dog was just thrown in the
backyard with no attention and care, until dropped at the pound. He's
actually very sweet, just has no clue about anything (yet)! VERY mouthy
though (ouch!).
