[ SHOWGSD-L ] Purina Points Program

The Purina Points Program "PPCP" Have you registered with the Purina Pro
Club? If you feed Purina, you need to join up, if you don't support 5 or 6
dogs, and feed Purina, please save those circles and send them to us, so that
we
can submit them for this program for the GSDCA. You will only be helping
the breed we all love!
Through this program, that is available to all AKC recognized breeds,
not only do the breeders/owners benefit, but Purina awards the GSDCA 10% of
the value of the weight circles submitted by German Shepherd Dog
breeders/owners who have declared GSDCA affiliation. Half of this money goes
directly to
the Canine Health Foundation Donor Advised Fund for research as directed by
the GSDCA. AKC matches these funds up to $1 per dollar donated. In 2005,
$13, 207.23 was donated directly to CHF. Up to $13,207.23 was matched by AKC.
The GSDCA received $13,207.23. A total of up to $39,621.69 was generated
from the Purina Parent Club Partnership by GSD breeders/owners who fed Purina
foods and submitted weight circles. The money contributed through the PPCP is
in addition to the points each individual Pro Club member receives.
