What airport would be used to fly dogs in? How far is it from the show site?
1900 miles from Oregon would be at least a 3 day trip driving 10 plus hours a
day.

No Molly. It is a special non skid padded surface. Brock (who runs the
Farms) told me before it was installed cost them over a million $. I
stewarded the first Aussie National there after the building opened. My
feet, legs, and back never hurt any worse than standing on sod at any of our
other locations. I have been back twice since, Drove one time with dogs in
a MH. One and half days from central California. Flew the other times.
Must admit didn't take dogs. Believe me, once you get there it will be most
enjoyable. All the hotels are very dog friendly and none of them are more
than 10 minutes from the show site. The big thing is that everything except
tracking can be done on site. BTW: Lee Brown did Specials that year. He
can tell you from a judges point of view what it is like.
Just musings from an old man that has missed 4 Nationals since 1974. Ring
Steward since 1991?
