I have been told by old timers to use Ester C or Vitamin C. I had my first dog
get pano/ down on the pasterns' and I gave her 500mg of Vitamin C and it
worked! Just a suggestion that was passed on to me! Angela

On the working dog forum this is a discussion on wek pasterns (not to be
confused with carpal
subluxation)
Most say that pups change on a weekly basis and do not worry about it
Also on other working dog forums they all say they use 21% protein on their
pups with weak
pasterns - so it does show up in IPO dogs, mals, pit bulls, great danes,
rotties yo nsmr s few
Apparently the occassional puppy with weak pasterns is accepted as a Normal
abnormality by
most.
And on the Bullmastiff forum: Bulmastiff are always falling down on the
pasterns at around 5
months
