I am in the process of reviewing our puppy contract and would like to have
examples of contracts that other breeders use.
Before you do anything, check to see if your State has a "Puppy Lemon Law"
then go from there. IF it is as strict as PA, you may actually want two
documents;one that follows the State's and another, perhaps in the form of a
letter of understanding between the parties that cover other items (I.e..
hip/elbows, limited registration, co-ownership, yada yada). You may find that
a
contract is unenforceable if it doesn't match what is deemed appropriate by
the
State, like a PA breeder did when the judge (I think Rhodesians?) threw out
the contract and actually assessed the breeder a fine because her contract
wasn't in line w/ the legislation.
