Hi everyone: I know this subject was discussed before, but it was awhile ago and this aging brain doesn't always remember what she reads! I would like to know about limitations to using professional photos of our dogs for publication. I wanted to buy a winning picture of one of my dogs and the photographer told me if I planned on using his photo for publication, then I would need his permission to do so. Well the picture came out "yucky" so I never did order the photo from him. I don't believe it's wise to advertise your dog with a awful picture. Unfortunately first impressions are lasting impressions. Let me ask this: people spend big dollars advertising their dogs. Do you mean to tell me all those professional pictures that we see advertising dogs in the Review or on websites that the owner has permission to use that photographers picture? I know Terry and Ruth from "Right Dog" is on the List. (I think I got their names right). Perhaps they can help educate us.
