I guess with this kind of hopeless, negative attitude that is why clubs
are
foldingl If you think about it, pride is really what makes the dog game
tick. Once you loose it, what is left???
I am proud GSD are great search & rescue dogs. I am proud people like
to
go to police dog trials and see GSD work. I am proud to walk down the
street and have people go Ga-Ga over my dog. I am proud of the money the
Charitable Foundation raises for research. I am proud of the many more
people
doing rescue and the support they get from the list and the parent club
because 20 years ago there was NO financial support. I am proud when my
latest
puppy trots across the floor. I am proud of our old club members who
still
reach out to new ones and encourage them. I am proud we have over 60
members in out club and most participate in some way. I am proud of the
GSDC of
America . I will be proud at the nationals, esp during the Parade of
Greats
(Crying proud) and I will be proud at the World Show cheering on our
team

I applaud you, and your pride. I also cheered and will continue doing so,
but, not meaning to sound disrespectful at all, this isn't about you or I.

Its not negative attitude if people finding themselves at the end of their
ropes. No new members, old members passing on, no help. This is reality.
It is a lot different when you have a club with 60 members, as opposed as
some of the people I am talking too, clubs with 3 or 4 members. Trying to
get people from other clubs to come and help. They can hardly put on a
show, and most exhibitors end up working just to help out. Just like Reno a
few years back.

Lets not let our pride blind us to the realities of others, shall we? I
think we need to continue with the positive thread, ideas to help these
members, not picking on each other. That helps no one.
