Whether you are celebrating or mourning the results of the Presidential
election today, we dog people need to be very afraid. It looks like Prop 2
passed in California, which is the beginning of the end of animal
agriculture
in that state. The ballot initiative for animal rights issues was brought to
a high art form by Wayne Pacelle when he destroyed the pork industry in the
Florida. His success there was the reason HSUS hired him. People in
cities
have no idea what animals want, and they believe what they see on TV over
the advice of animal owners and veterinarians. I assure you, we dog owners
are in Wayne's sights, and California will be the battleground.
What's even more frightening is that, per the morning news, New Mexico's
Governor Richardson, one of the biggest proponents of draconian animal
laws, is on the short list for a cabinet position. We are doomed.
