Respectfully, you are missing the point on dew claws. You will still be
able to do your own until the puppies are past 3 days old.
FYI, their little nerves are more developed after that and YES they do feel
pain. If you have a problem, like I do, with taking babies to the vet at
such a young age, we have plenty of vets who do house calls.
I'm also not all that concerned about "proving" when they were done. I've
done them in the past, usually before three days and by three days you can't
even tell they were there in the first place.
Maybe you've never seen a paw butchered by a breeder that did their own
later on. I have, and if it means I never have to see another, I'm cool with
the
new provisions.
Thanks for all of your concerns though, but we're fine here in PA. (Notice
it's only the out-of-Staters who have their knickers in a twist?)
