I would guess the equipment to do the tests is very expensive. My vet , Dr.
Bell, is a reproduction specialist. He is the consulting vet for all
breedings done at Lackland Air Force Base. I drive 60 miles one way to get to
him
He still sends his test out. He just went up from $56 to $64. This, of
course, includes the
shipping charge for overnight mail. I have a vet close to me who is not too
interested in reproduction work, but the test is only $38 from him. But I
am afraid you get what you pay for. And we have always gotten puppies by
using Dr. Bell.
