[ SHOWGSD-L ] Problem

I eat un salted sunflower nuts (already Shelled) for snacking .
I left the bag sitting on my end table. When I came in from grooming I found
pieces of the top strip of the bag. Still can't find the rest of the bag. My
11 year old Surry never show's any sign of guilt however her 6 year old Wire
Dach friend (Shorty) is always guilty , it's just that neither one care.
Do I need to be concerned of anything other than them shooting nuts our
their butts for a few days?
Other thing is my big boy has the softest feet of any dog I've had . This
cold weather often causes a bloody sore on a pad or two. Any way to toughen
them
