I understand Mike...I too fall into a minority group.....as do a pretty good
amount of our membership.
The fact is that legally we are that private group. I think it's the word
correlation that you are having an issue with, but in this case it is meant as
a legal term.
And again, the burden would be on Mr Hunte to prove his case. So, my point to
you was that fear of lawsuit is worthless and only a false place to hide
behind.

While your neice may understand; It really a question
of what was the "real" reasoning?
Being a minority and one that has had to deal with
this a large portion of my life, I tend to see the
other side a lot clearer than most.
Many times, I have had the "well, there just wasn't
enough favorable votes" (when I was pulled aside and
the truth was, "Sorry mike, it just wasn't a good time
for (black, gay, women, single, Jewish, disabled--you
name it) this year".
Of course, the "public statement" was favorable votes,
the reality had nothing to do with it.
Unfortunately, like I said earlier, the whole Private
club thing leaves an uneasy feeling. Perhaps I have
paid a bit more attention to the whole "private club"
not because I wanted to, but I had to.
