Your right about that. Actually I just wrote the AKC about the picture used
in the GSD standard on their website. I asked them how they expected to
educate people about the standard when the illustration depicts several
serious faults. They told me the artist was not a GSD person..and that the
illustration had been approved by the GSDCA.If any changes to the
illustration were to be made..it would have to be approved by the GSDCA, I
sent a copy of the illustration to Kathaleen Strong.She is good a
editing..with just a tweek here and there..she made the dog so acceptable
that I couldn't imagine anyone who knows the breed would be offended by it.
