Hi everyone: So I just got "Amber" her new dog run. Finally! Only problem is to figure out what to put on the ground. I used to have cement runs, but I plan on selling this house, so I don't want anything permanat on the ground, plus I don't want to put down anything that's too expensive, so I don't want to go the stone route either. However, I can't keep the grounds with the dirt. It's too muddy especially with all the rain we just had here in New York. Then she tracks it into the house. A friend of mine said he uses pine shavings in all his runs. I wanted to know what everyone thought about using this, and your experience with using it? Is it safe for puppies? Will she and the pups try to eat it? How do you keep the runs clean after you've picked up after them? Do you disinfect them?
