I'm not faulting the Breed judge or the Group judge. However, perhaps I am
putting too much emphasis on what competiting at Westminster may mean to some
people as opposed to competing at some smaller local AB show. (Personally, I'd
rather have a dog worthy of competing in our National.) I was just trying to
put myself in someone else's shoes. That's all.

any finshed champions in either of those breeds could have been entered - they
weren't. the breed judge put up what he/she felt was the best dog there and
that's the ONLY dog that should have gone on to the group level. a lesser
quality representative of any breed shoud never be put up by a breed judge
because someone may or may not choose to or be eligible to show in the group.
the breed judge's job is to put up the best dog there that day, nothing more.
personally, i have no problem with what the owners or handlers chose to do and
certainly found peter green to be a class act. old saying - "you show - you
take your chances."
