Laura......
I am convinced that our social structures become more maddening as
time goes on. There are already thousands of laws on the books that
are equally contradictory, open to abuse and need to be done away
with.
Every year we go through some political process or election and send
legislators to the halls of government, and they think they are doing
us a favor by enacting more laws. They spend all of their time under
the illusion that they are wise enough and elected to save us from
ourselves. The end result is, it is almost impossible to get up, drive
to work and eat lunch without violating some law. So, we hire more
cops, build more jails and continue the process of saving the world
from people like you who want to keep a four month old dog intact.
Where are the politicians who promise to go to Congress and do away
with old laws and do nothing else for me?
I am not anti-anything, except occasionally I get stirred up about the
course of our nation, and those Nations of the past, who over time
have become so encumbered with stupid laws made by well meaning people
and enforced by zealous officers, that they crumble and fall because
they can no longer afford the infrastructure.
I am a law abiding conformist who has no criminal record and gets into
no trouble. But there is a side of me that refuses to conform to
regulations that infringe on my pursuit of innocent enjoyment of life.
