Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] Personal agility brag
This is not a GSD brag, but many of you know my Border Collie, Radar, so I
thought I'd share his big brag as well as brag for me, because this has been a
LONG work in progress!
This past weekend in Louisville KY, he finally finished is MACH (Master Agility
Champion). To earn a MACH, a dog needs to earn 20 QQs (qualifying in both
Master Standard and Master Jumpers with perfect score on the same day 20
different times) as well as earn 750 speed points. Radar has close to 4000
speed points, but the QQs have been ever so elusive. We've gone years without
one before. Radar has had close to 100 days where he would Q in one ring, and
then have ONE little mistake in the other. Running a very fast dog is like
driving a race car where the pedal is always pressed down...a whole lot of fun,
but you run off the road a lot!
Below are Radars videos from Saturday...his MACH day. He had two fantastic
runs to finish and I'm thrilled that my sister was able to be there as well as
one of my very best friends....both of them have run Radar so it was especially
sweet that they were there for it :-)
