Does the dog limp? If the dog can do weekly agility trials I would be more
inclined to question the xrays.

I see no problem with doing this as long as the dog is able and not in pain
when doing the various exercises. My first GSD had HD (Don't know about elbows
as people were not doing elbows at that time). She was my best jumper and had
her CDX and fully trained for her UD when she let me know her jumping days were
over so we stopped showing. She lived to be 13 and never limped. She made me
fall in love with the breed.
