Laura -- I hope you don't take your ball and leave. Seriously. I hope you
stick with it. But if you do leave, before long someone else will drop
that same ball for everyone to kick around. Ignored,alienated, and
ostracized ? That describes the way a majority of the world population
feels.That's why so many psychiatrists,counselors,and ministers make a
handsome living.I don't think you can pin those problems on the GSD
Fancy.People who get into and stay involved in conformation over the long
haul do so because they develop a passion for it that combines with their
love of the breed.If you truly have the passion, eventually you'll spend
more time trying to figure out how to control it than you will how to make
it grow larger.Your true mentors will never find you.You'll find them,but it
won't be easy.It's never going to get any easier,but it may become very
rewarding.Since there have been some Vince Lombardi quotes lately,I'll throw
one in : "The quality of a man's life can be measured in direct proportion
to his commitment to excellence,whatever his field of endeavor."

I apologize for the question marks.? I will be switching emails soon.? Ok,
now if you will bear with me, I will explain why I have been dwelling on
this for the last several days.? I am going to try and make this short.
You see, for the last 8-9 mos, all we have concentrated?on in the?PC, the
Hunte matter and the politics in the club.? I feel we have lost sight of the
very thing that makes us a club.? My goal was to open a dialog?to see how we
can get and keep people in the breed.? There has been?too much negativity.?
I also wanted to speak not only for myself but for all the others who won't
speak.?
The number of responses I received privately from people who felt ignored,
alienated and ostracized was amazing.? Something needs to change.??
Yes, there are wonderful people and clubs out there, but?a smattering
of?those folks, throughout the Country,?can't do it all.? And, for everyone
who has been kind to me and given me good advice, I thank you.? But in
reality, if folks don't?wake up and change some attitudes,?I see a total
convergence to the BYB?and?German line GSD's.?

I will be going off the List.? I hope that you all look into yourselves,
quit making excuses and do something positive for the?Breed.
