I think Billy forgot to hit "paste", so here it is:
Good news to report today! Penny has been up and on her feet today (with
assistance getting up). She's learning to use a walker until her legs are
healed enough to move to a cane then to nothing. She was awake and said she
had a conference with the attending physician and physical therapists and
the were happy about her progress. The doctor said she will be in the
hospital next week and at least part of the following week. I can't wait
until she's home but her attitude has improved, she's off the oxygen and
IV's and has been sitting in a chair, been to the bathroom (Yay! No Bedpan!)
and has been up and moving. There's still a long way to go but this is a
positive start!
