Many years ago, the U of Alaska discovered that some dog food mfg. were
using hair in their dog food to up the protein content of the food. The food
if soaked would let the hair float to the top of the container and able to
be seen. Sort of like the melamine deal it raises the protein content but
is not digestible.
HMMM.

The quality (or lack of quality) is bound to be affected by the terrible state
of our economy. With all of the horrendous "ingredients" in some brands of dog
food, it is only a matter of time before (once again) pet food manufacturers
include more ingredients that have no business in the diet of our dogs. For
the most part, it is all about maintaining a certain profit margin, regardless
of their claims to the contrary!
