Elizabeth and I were in contact with the Martin family about 48 hours after
the incident.
The dog "Noah" gave his life in defense of his family. The car is a mess,
probably won't be fixed.
We contacted the family, who has 4 children, and were utterly devastated by
not only the loss of their
beloved dog, but by the violence directed towards them.
There were a great many people involved in making it possible to get the
puppy to the Martin Family.
Not only Elizabeth, who gave up her pick show puppy in order to give this
family a sable , like Noah...
but many others who donated money, and meals and respite for her trip.
The money raised not only
funded her drive ,but also made it possible for the puppy to come with
food, toys, etc, as well as some
cash for the family.
Wonderful people . Elizabeth and I are HONORED to be called part of the
Martin Family. The Martins are
now part of the greater GSD Family as well, and are overwhelmed by the
kindness. The Martins.. more
decent people you could not hope for.
Inside Edition will air a segment on the delivering of the puppy, "Kris" ,
sometime in January.
I salute my friend Elizabeth, and ALL the people that donated, and sent
well wishes, and love for the
Martin Family.
Paying it forward..it is what Christmas is all about. I think this
gathering of GSD friends to
help a family heal , did more for us , than it did for Kidon Martin and his
family. I smile and
feel so happy , when I chat with them. Yes, and Happy Tears, all around.
Just super.
