Paulie's elderly Mom found herself in a nursing facility, leaving Paulie and
his two lifetime companions at the Amherst County animal control. While his two
smaller, younger and probably cuter friends found new loving homes, it seems no
one wanted a Senior GSD with a weight issue...Paulie liked his snacks and his
weight has ballooned up to 140 pounds causing a strain on his hips and adding
insult to injury!
We have a place for Paulie to go...Angel Ridge Sanctuary in Washington PA will
provide Paulie with a good diet and lots of loving care for the remainder of his
life...all he needs is a ride! Because of his size and his years, he would need
space to move and breathe...making a ride on a paid transport perhaps difficult.
This boy needs a 500 varikennel or a similar situation; most transports do not
offer that type of space.
Paulie is fully vaccinated, bathed and nails trimmed...Again, due to his
immense size, we are waiting for his neuter to be done once he is permanently
settled in PA. This is an AKC registered German line boy...and he is VERY VERY
handsome!! He was LITERALLY rescued off of the euthanasia table by the ACO (
they had the syringe poised and ready!) who saw something in him and wanted to
give him a chance...Paulie is a sweet old guy...and is wondering where his Mom
and buddies are...
