[ SHOWGSD-L ] Pa.residents/Puppy Mill Bill

I'ld like to urge any Pa. residents to call their Senators and encourage their
support for Bills 2525 and 2532. These are very good bills that were crafted by
kennel clubs, sportsman, beagle clubs, and rescues. Bill 2525 mandates larger
kennel sizes ( current law allows a dog to be kept 24/7 in a cage that is 4
inches wider and longer than the dog's length), adult dogs would be required to
be on solid flooring, no stacking of crates that allow poop to fall thru to
the dog below, and access to an outside run for a period of time daily. For
most of the commercial kennel dogs it would be the first time any saw daylight.
Bill 2532 outlaws do-it-yourself C-sections, ear cropping, amputations and
other surgeries.
If we all call our Senators and then urge one other person to call we can get
this bill passed. Its hoped the bill would be voted on next week. Below is a
link to find out who your Senator is if you don't know. Many people are saying
if this Bill is passed then those 80 dogs that were shot in Berks county by the
two brothers who owned a puppymill won't have died in vain. Thanks, Sue
