The cost should not exceed the cost of rosette and printing the page in the
catalog. Cost of creating and printing - NOT the cost as if it were an ad.

Have several issues on my mind from the BOG and will pick them off after I
have a chance to think about them some.
But some history on this subject to start.....the POG was always a fee to
go in until 5 years ago.. In 2006 there was some money awarded to a top dog
being shown in some venue...I believe it was Genny that the Moses' and DD
owned. I cannot remember the amount but $5000 sticks in my mind...maybe it
was $500. The president of the time made a suggestion that because this
money was generously coming to the club that the POG be made free. A motion
was put forth and implemented. Am not sure anyone at the time thought it
was to be made free for life as the finances certainly would not cover
that.
While I understand with financial restrictions the board revisited this, I
can see why they are charging for this again. While give away's are great,
you can only do that when you have the resources to do this. This club
apparently no longer does.
BUT, and there is always one, I do object to the amount levied for this.
As a friend I spoke to said, and I concur, 0-75 is hard to swallow. To
argue on this, and Board members I hope you are listening, the POG if the
cherry on the sundae for the owners of these dogs, and for all of us that
love
to be reminded of the great dogs in our breed. NO WAY should that entry
exceed the entry for BOB! It is $50. to do that. Since POG is for
exhibition, it should be equal or slightly less. We as the membership don't
want to be deprived of seeing those beautiful animals once again, and the
owners should not have to dig that deep in their pocket to present. Cover the
costs, and be reasonable.
