Well, it depends.... MOST of the time pano is accompanied by swelling (not
always, but more often than not in my experience, and I have lots of
experience, LOL). If there is swelling in the leg and not the elbow (or the
pano is in the rear leg) no, I am not rushing off to do xrays. NONE of the
vets here in Rome will xray without general anesthesia, and I will not put a
dog under for anything less than a life/death emergency. I have lost three
dogs to anesthesia, and almost lost two others. I don't do anesthesia if at
all possible. (That is also why I don't do routine dental cleaning).

Just wondering when a lot of you say that your pup has pano... How are you
determining it is Pano and not something worse like UAP or OCD. Are you x
raying or just assuming it is Pano because of the age?
