This has been my experience also - never have had pano in any of my dogs except for 3 different bitches and each time 5-8 week after whelping a litter. Paul opines... Pano is an ugly little spud. We don't have it much any more as our lines have been sorta "Pano Free" for some time...It does pop up occasionally but like all bouts with this problem it must..."run its course". We've done acupuncture, chiropractors, and actually injected urine into the muscles because someone once told us it was the mystical cure for the ailment. We were much newer then. Pano...must run it's course...period. Some analgesics can ease the pain but it doesn't go away. You X-ray the bones and there it tis...a gray haze on the bone sheath that will heal in time... Our experience is that it normally goes away by the age of 2. I wish I had all of da money we spent treating it when in fact...like I said...it must run its course.
