The cTLI test.
I had no idea what a normal reading for a GSD is, so here is what Chuck K.

Under 2.5 is clinical EPI BTW, that I DID find online.
I plan to start testing...wonder how often we should test...annually?

This would be for those of us who feel Toxic Gut is genetic. Two schools
of thought...(a) yes it's genetic or (b) no, not necessarily genetic but
the result of the same dogs over and over in a pedigree that can lead to a
weakened immune system and a weakened immune system leads to a malfunctioning
pancreas which in turn sets a dog up for toxic gut.
Now if it IS genetic, what I can find says dominant with incomplete
penetration, so it (only) needs to be on one side, a dog can pass it on but not
be affected themselves....so testing....how effective???? But maybe it's a
start.
I honestly don't have the answer, and maybe I will be throwing money away,
but heck, I have certainly thrown money away on a lot less important
things....
