PALM BEACH COUNTY ANIMAL OWNERS NEED YOUR HELP!
Palm Beach County Commissioners want MANDATORY spay/castrate of all cats and
dogs in Palm Beach County unless there is a documented medical reason for a pet
to not be sterilized. This decision should be between a animal owner and their
veterinarian - NOT the government!
Palm Beach County government is proposing breeder licensing. Specifics of the
permitting process have NOT been made available in writing to animal owners -
but verbal information was given by Animal Care & Control that requirements
would include a $100 permit fee, inspection of a breeder's home (qualifications
of inspectors and inspection criteria have not been provided), and submitting
to an invasive background check. We don't do this much to protect children!
THE PROPOSALS WILL DO NOTHING TO ADDRESS REASONS THAT PETS ARE SURRENDERED TO
SHELTERS!
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
CALL, FAX, AND EMAIL ALL PALM BEACH COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO EXPRESS YOUR
OPPOSITION. IF THIS PASSES IN PALM BEACH COUNTY IT WILL SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE TO
OTHER COUNTIES WITHIN FLORIDA AND OTHER STATES. LET COMMISSIONERS KNOW THAT IF
THIS PASSES YOU WILL NOT BE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS ON VACATIONS IN
PALM BEACH COUNTY OR TO ATTEND DOG AND CAT SHOWS.
